Yoga blocks are useful at all
levels, and can help you in a number of ways - giving your
body support during some yoga poses, and extension to your
reach in others.
Yoga blocks also come in different
sizes - with varying dimensional proportions.
There are
a number of types of yoga block available, ranging from foam
yoga blocks (below left) to wooden yoga blocks (below right).

Foam blocks are generally used
for supporting your head, your back and spine.
Wooden blocks are used to provide
support for your hands during standing and sitting postures
by acting as an extension of your body where you cannot naturally
reach the floor.
